Safe guarding is a new buzzword to establish how people handle the process of handling peoples photos.
First and foremost we take all the images on a SD card and are also backed up to a second on the camera in the unit itself. That’s one way.
Then we put it into a safe weatherized SD Card holder for safe keeping and as soon as we return from the venue or session we immediately upload to the computer, back them up to a harddrive for additional record and safe keeping and start working on each photo to proof them for quality assurance, edit and finally upload to your online gallery. The whole process we try to make sure they remain secured and not tampered with by any other parties or factors.
it must be noted though on rare occasion the SD card can corrupt or malfunction/Die Technology at times can be unpredictable and unreliable and we can lose the entire photography session/all photos…
BUT we also utilize repair technicians and recovery software to make sure we can try to recover the images if possible before throwing in the towel.
That’s an additional security measure we take in case of this unfortunate situation.
IF the images can’t be recovered in this extremely rare situation we offer a full refund and apology for a product defect. We understand the importance of these images so it is very unfortunate when it happens but sadly these things do happen.
We also protect our images, clients and ourselves with contracts to make sure their images are not stolen or used without their or our consent during or after the session.

Answer: So you’ve selected a location but the city or county website mentions needing a permit or agreement for usage.
Typically this will be for Commercial use, meaning any media or photos we create that are shared in a marketing/business front that are on property you do not own you require a Permit, License or Agreement to take and share such photos.
For people looking to take Personal photos for their own home or personal use is deemed “Consumer” photography and therefore does not need a permit or license to photograph images in public spaces.
Which is why Parks and Public Monuments can offer great free venues for photographs.

Answer: No, We do not.
Mentioning locations in our Menu Packages allows us to not only prepare the proper equipment needed for each location, but it also allows you the customer to not be charged for any travel expenses.
However, We DO charge for Gas/Distance.
We are based out of Austin, Texas.
When of excess of 75+ Miles outside the city of Austin, we will negotiate travel expenses regardless of package deal
Explained:
We charge travel fees to account for gas and other traveling expenses.
So in our packages we include how many locations to avoid these fees for the best deal for clients. We are able to add more locations to a package for a fee due to the travel expense. We discuss this cost pertaining to the location and situation, we aim to charge just for the cost of what gas or fare would be in each situation and any other expense needed for the travel.
Usually this would be what a deposit is used for and also can go toward the sessions costs.
We do not charge for “locations” if it is a walking distance from the original location as well. For example if we are in a park or a space that has many backgrounds/ or backdrops or it is within walking distance we of course would not charge for this. We will not charge for a different backdrop or background location.
We will charge for extended distances and negotiate the cost of which. Any distance over the 75+ Mile Limit or additional locations not included in your Menu Package, and when it is a great distance available by plane, bus or boat only. We require it to be priorly discussed or negotiated.

Answer: In the Photography industry even though we do photograph you, your family or special moments. Since we are photographing the image, we are providing a service. In doing so we charge for that service so we retain the rights to the images as the creator operating the needed equipment. As a result of being the creator we retain the rights for Print Release we give you back partial-personal ownership for non-commercial usage (excluding business headshots) with these rights you are able to use and share the image as you please as the images ownership has been partially “released” back to you excluding any paid usage for commercial, competitive or otherwise credit as it pertains to you as the creator of the image in any public format since you are not the photographer.
Explained:
We definitely don’t want to “own”or seek to distribute your personal photos or personal image(s). However to prevent others from stealing, misusing your personal OR professional image(s), referred to as “our collaborative work” we must have partial ownership of the image as the person who create the image(s) to protect the image(s). We do this for many reasons one is to ensure we are paid for our work and given credit when it is being commercially or otherwise showcased and among other reasons is to make sure the images are not stolen and we can be given proper credit and payment for our services. If they are ever taken and used publicly to promote anything or to be used creatively outside of the parties involved approval pertaining to who created or collaborated on the image. For example if a image is used commercially/marketing, competitively or on other “creative projects” that are for profit and do not give proper credit or payment to the creator(s) or model(s), this is to ensure protection for us as well as you. In this digital age… Images and Content can be stolen or improperly used. Having rights and/or ownership prevents this from happening for all parties involved.

Question: “I noticed some packages have some things others don’t? ”
Answer: That is correct. It is no typo nor a mistake!
We include some optional complimentary gifts as a thanks to our clients in certain packages!

Unfortunately, we are some photographers who do believe in not releasing a raw image file.
Why?
Simply put it’s a way of having the “film” or “original” image to establish we did in fact do the work.
We don’t release that file type simply because it could compromise us legally and remove our credibility.
However if you’d like the images unretouched in their original state as they were photographed we could happily release them upon request as JPEG files as we normally do.
